This was life as a young adult for my guest, Melissa Matson. She was always counting calories and believed that waking up in pain was a good thing. Now she’s through the other side and in a place where she uses this experience to ensure she lives a life full of self-kindness.

That shame is what my guest, Maya Raichoora, lived with throughout her teenage years. After being diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis she opened up to the world about what she was going through.
In her own words it has made her who she is today. But it doesn't define her.

To live life free of shame is a powerful existence. Not many do, and those that achieve it will say it takes work on yourself. Constant work.
My guest in this episode, Dionne Slater, lived a life full of shame. From being abandoned by her father, to her mother setting some bad examples, which eventually led her down a path of sex work herself. In her darkest moments she tried to end her life only to be saved by her dog.
After all of this she did the work that allowed her to live an unapologetic life without shame, something she now works with others to achieve through her coaching.
